Undercover cop busts 'corrupt' council worker
The 31-year-old-man allegedly attempted to sell a municipal tractor to an undercover cop for R150,000.
JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal police have arrested a municipal employee for allegedly attempting to sell a municipal tractor to an undercover officer for R150,000.
The 31-year-old-man, who works for the Umzumbe Municipality, has been charged with corruption.
The police's Jay Naicker says he's expected to appear in court this week.
"He has been charged with corruption. The suspect was arrested and the tractor has been impounded. He is expected to appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate Court soon."
