Virgin Active apologises for the t-shirt incident
Gym managing director has apologised to Muhammad Desai saying they have learned from the mistake.
On Wednesday, Muhammad Desai was escorted from the 'Old Eds' gym for wearing a t-shirt which read "in solidarity with Palestinians against Israeli apartheid".
Cellphone footage of the altercation later went viral and now the health club says it has learned from the mistake.
Managing director Ross Faragher-Thomas has apologised to Desai.
"Many of this sort situations were of a political discourse plays out and probably very much difficult and very often a first for us."
Virgin Active on Thursday said no legal item of clothing is banned from its facilities, but members need to exercise tolerance and respect.
