SAPS releases images of Orange Farm cop killers
The SAPS earlier tweeted images of suspects wanted in connection with the murder of Norman Muhlari.
JOHANNESBURG - The South African Police Service (SAPS) has released CCTV images of men wanted in connection with the killing of a police officer in Orange Farm on Thursday last week.
Constable Norman Muhlari was shot dead at the Stretford Railway Station in Orange Farm an his colleague fatally wounded.
The suspects allegedly fled with the officers' guns.
Eight officers have been killed in the line of duty in Gauteng and the Western Cape in the last two weeks alone and unions and police bosses have called on communities to help bring the criminals to book.
During a night vigil held to remember their slain colleagues on Friday, Gauteng Premier David Makhura, Gauteng Community Safety MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane and National Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega along with more than 100 officers echoed one another's calls for cop killers to be brought to book.
