Egypt: 5 killed in militant attack
Three children were among those killed by Sinai-based Islamic militants.
CAIRO - An entire family of five members has been killed in the shelling of their house by militants in Egypt's Northern Sinai.
Nine of their neighbours were wounded.
The attack comes ahead of tomorrow's opening of new extensions to the Suez Canal, separating the Sinai Peninsula from mainland Egypt, to which local and foreign dignitaries have been invited.
