Stage two load shedding to kick in at 5pm
Eskom has warned consumers to expect load shedding during peak hours.
JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has announced it will implement stage two load shedding from 5pm this afternoon until 10pm tonight.
Yesterday, Eskom attributed the power cuts to increased demand and shortage of generation capacity due to plant maintenance.
The ailing power utility once again made the announcement on Twitter:
Stage 2 load shedding to be implemented from 17:00-22:00 due to increased demand and generating units being on maintenance

Eskom has been warning consumers to expect load shedding during peak hours.
The parastatal has been implementing rolling blackouts regularly this year, saying it is trying to catch up with maintenance work.
