Another baby found dumped in Cape Town
It's been a week since cops found the body of an infant behind the post office in Retreat.
CAPE TOWN - Another new born baby has been found dumped in Cape Town.
A passer-by made the grim discovery along Duinefontein Road at the weekend.
The little boy's body was wrapped in a plastic bag.
He was taken to Salt River mortuary where a post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The police's Frederick Van Wyk says the body was found near the Heideveld High School.
"On Saturday 25 July, police members responded to the complaint of abandonment of a newborn baby boy, wrapped in a plastic bag. It was found next to Heideveld High by a passerby."
It's been a week since police found the body of an infant, also a little boy, wrapped in a blanket behind the post office in Retreat.
The case is being investigated by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
This brings to at least nine the number of children dumped in the city this year.
