JOHANNESBURG - The Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) on Saturday said it will increase its fight against what it calls ' a corrupt African National Congress (ANC)-led government' and the political influence President Jacob Zuma has at Eskom.

Party leader Julius Malema said the power utility is failing to keep the lights on while heavyweights like Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa benefit when government is doing business with the private sector.

He made these comments at the EFF's second anniversary celebrations in Rustenburg.

Malema said that only the ANC can be blamed for load shedding.

"Caused by greedy politicians so that they can increase the price of coal; they will buy that coal from Cyril Ramaphosa."

He said acting Eskom head Brian Molefe doesn't have it easy as the ANC-led government continues to meddle in the utility's affairs.

"Brian Molefe will be projected as another black failure because the ANC's corruption will not allow him to run Eskom is a professional manner."

The EFF is planning to visit the Medupi Power Station to speak to workers and listen to their grievances.
