JOHANNESBURG - Three people are expected to appear in the Nigel Magistrates Court this morning on charges of manufacturing drugs.

They were arrested on small holdings where police discovered a laboratory and 50 kilograms of chemicals worth an estimated R30 million were also seized in the operation.

The police's Katlego Mogale said investigators are trying to establish who owns the plot.

"Police were called to a small holding where there was a fire and upon extinguishing it, they discovered large quantities of chemicals used to manufacture mandrax."
