Transport minister awaits comprehensive Prasa report
The Transport Department says Prasa's board of directors need to keep the minister up to date.
JOHANNESBURG - Transport Minister Dipuo Peters is waiting for a comprehensive report from the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) to understand recent developments at the rail agency and take action where necessary.
Prasa says operations at the company will not be affected, but Montana may still speak out about his dismissal.
The Transport Department's Tiyani Rikhotso says the board of directors need to keep the minister up to date.
"The minister is confident that the board is competent enough to deal with the issues at hand. The last meeting she had with the board was on Friday last week where she requested them to prepare a comprehensive report which she should receive sometime this week."
