JOHANNESBURG - The search continues for four awaiting trial prisoners, who escaped from holding cells, at the Hartbeespoort Dam Police Station.

Initially five inmates escaped earlier this month, and one was rearrested in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria on Thursday.

The men were being held in connection with crimes including robbery and theft.

The police's Paul Ramaloko said, "The man was rearrested by the tracking team of Hartbeespoort Dam police. He will be appearing in court today. Some of his accomplices are still on the run, a search for them is underway."
