Bob Hewitt's woes continue
Leigh-Ann Taylor says she was also abused and she believes there are others.
JOHANNESBURG - Another woman who has come forward claiming former tennis champion Bob Hewitt abused her more than 30 years ago says she believes there are many more victims who haven't yet had the courage to speak out.
Hewitt was found guilty on two counts of rape and one of sexual assault after three women testified during his trial earlier this year.
He was sentenced to an effective six years behind bars, but he is currently under house arrest as the appeal process continues.
Leigh-Ann Taylor says she left it too late to join the victims during the trial, but says she too was abused and she believes there are others.
"I think they either didn't have the means to come forward, I find it quite tough, people don't want to go back there, there could be quite a few, where there is one there may be 100."
Meanwhile, Taylor and Suellen Sheehan who was raped by Hewitt are now both playing tennis again.
