#TDF15: BMC racing team clinch team time trial

BMC Racing Team claimed the team time trial with Team MTN-Qhubeka finishing second last.

Great Britain's Christopher Froome (second left) rides in the pack behind his teammates of the Great Britain's Sky cycling team during the 223.5 km fourth stage of the 102nd edition of the Tour de France cycling race on 7 July, 2015, between the Belgian city of Seraing and Cambrai, northern France fourth stage. JOHANNESBURG - Americans BMC Racing Team recorded the fastest time in the team trial stage between Vannes and Plumelec, finishing ahead of Team Sky and Movistar, however, very little separated the 3 teams.

BMC finished in a time of 32 minutes and 15 seconds, 1 second ahead of Sky and 4 in front of Movistar, meaning that Chris Froome retains his yellow jersey.

Froome holds a 12 second lead over Tejay van Garderen with white jersey wearer Peter Sagan slipping down the general classification into 4th, 38 seconds off Froome.

Team MTN-Qhubeka didn't have the best day as they finished in a time of 34 minutes and 11 seconds, 1 minute and 56 seconds behind the winners, taking 20th place out of 22.

Riders will have a day to gather themselves on Monday as the race takes its first rest day. Daniel Teklehaimanot will go into the 10th stage on Tuesday in the polka dot jersey as the King of the Mountain.
