NIGERIA - Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to do everything in his power to rescue the girls kidnapped from Chibok 450 days ago.

President Buhari made the announcement when he received his presidential villa.

From a hash tag on Twitter, Bring Back Our Girls 2104 became a movement in the last year advocating for the release of the over 200 girls abducted from their school by Boko Haram insurgents.

At an interaction with the group who carried their campaigns to the presidential Villa, president Buhari indicted Former President Goodluck Jonathan, describing the past administration as incompetent, the way it handled the abduction of the Chibok girls.

Their action he said portrayed Nigeria in a bad light both nationally and internationally.

He gave an assurance that his administration will do its best in collaboration with the Lake Chad Basin Commission to affect the release of the Chibok girls and end terrorism in the country.
