CAPE TOWN - A teenage boy's leg has been bitten clean off in a shark attack in Buffels Bay.

Today's incident is the second shark-attack in less than twenty four hours.

On Friday 23-year-old Dylan Reddering survived a shark attack while surfing in Plettenberg Bay.

"The latest encounter occurred 52 kilometres from the Plettenberg Bay incident less than 24 hours later."

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI)'s Craig Lambinon said, "He was bitten on the right leg, it's a complete amputation just above the knee and he is suffering lacerations to his left leg."

Beachgoers in Buffels Bay and Plettenberg Bay have been warned to stay out of the water until it has been declared safe by the municipality.
