Hunt still on for father who beat child to death
A post-mortem has revealed the Hanover Park toddler was severely beaten exactly a week ago.
CAPE TOWN - Social Development MEC Albert Fritz said a child beaten to death, allegedly by her father, has a history with social welfare.
A post-mortem has revealed the Hanover Park toddler was severely beaten exactly a week ago, but the reason for the assault is still unknown.
The girl's father, 32-year-old Christopher Williams, is believed to have fled the scene following the incident.
Fritz says action will be taken against anyone who withheld information pertaining to this case.
"We also want to find out exactly what happened to this child. In this regard we're making all our investigations together with the NGO tasked with working with this girl."
