Powerless week lies ahead for SA
Eskom has warned consumers to brace themselves for more load shedding this week.
JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has warned consumers to brace themselves for more load shedding this week as it works to fix technical problems at some of its generating units.
On Saturday, the power utility escalated power cuts to stage 3 for a brief period.
The utility has warned that evening peak hours will remain a high risk for power cuts.
Today's prognosis for #load_shedding is low for the morning and high for the evening.

Eskom is also continuing with scheduled maintenance which has further tightened its generation capacity.
Spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said, "For the rest of the week we're likely to see a repeat of this until we have one unit of Medupi and one unit of Kusile Power Station up, unfortunately we will continue to have this vulnerability in the power systems.
