CAPE TOWN - Sharks assistant coach Brad Macleod-Henderson has resigned.

Brad has been involved with the union since 2012, initially with the U21's before joining the senior side in July 2013.

He was assistant coach during the Sharks last two Super Rugby campaigns looking after the forwards and breakdown, and also headed-up the Currie Cup campaigns.

The Sharks the 2013 Currie Cup winning coach a role within their new structures, but he declined choosing instead to move on.

His departure follows that of stalwart players Jannie and Bismarck du Plessis, and Willem Alberts who played their last games for the union before moving abroad next season.

Tipped to do well at the beginning of the season under new Director of Rugby Gary Gold, the Sharks ended in a disappointing 11th place this season and second last on the South African conference.
