JOHANNESBURG The visitors needed an early Jesse Kriel try to wake them up, after which they answered with four tries, coming from Neill Jordaan, Henco Venter, Clayton Blommetjies and Sarel Pretorius before the break.

A 28-10 advantage after 40 minutes became 35-10 soon into the second stanza, thanks to a converted try from Steven Sykes.

Thereafter, it was a full-on try fest as the Bulls crossed the whitewash three times through two departing senior players, Francois Hougaard with two scores and Pierre Spies with one while Rayno Benjamin made the game safe for the Cheetahs.

It was a highly entertaining end of season affair at Loftus, as both outfits will start preparing for life without a number of players leaving either franchise.
