CAPE TOWN - The Strandfontein Community Policing forum says over the past three weeks the bodies of two people have been found at a derelict building in the area.

A third person, who had been left for dead, was also found at the site which is situated along Camp Road.

School children made the grisly discovery this week of a young man who was left for dead.

He had been stabbed several times, apparently during a car hijacking.

The CPF's Sandy Schuter says the community has been begging the City of Cape Town to demolish the structure for years now, but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

"It is not a first time that a crime has been committed at this broken down building. On a regular basis, we've had complaints that rape occurred there. And when there are house-breakings within the greater communities, criminals actually go to this broken down building to filter through items that they've stolen."
