SANParks on the hunt for missing lion
A lion has escaped from the Karoo National Park through a hole in a fence last Friday.
CAPE TOWN - A lion has escaped from the Karoo National Park and the South African National Parks believes the animal escaped through a hole in a fence last Friday.
The organisation's Fayrouch Ludick says, "The spoor has been found by the trackers, but it's just a matter of keeping up with it through the mountains and ravines." Tweets by Belinda_Factor

In 2013, a hyena created a storm on social media as it roamed the streets of Johannesburg.
The animal made its way through Victory Park, Delta Park and Blairgowrie before residents and officials managed to corner it in on Olympic Road.
The animal was darted with a tranquilizer gun by zoo officials and taken to the Johannesburg Zoo hospital before being released into the wild.

In 2010, Panjo the tiger shot to fame after escaping from his owner's bakkie and spending two days on the prowl.
He was later found wandering in the woods outside Bronkhorstspruit.
