Correctional Services says it can't reveal where George Thomas will be incarcerated for security reasons.

CAPE TOWN - Correctional Services says it cannot reveal where gang boss George 'Geweld' Thomas will be incarcerated for security reasons.

Thomas was handed seven life sentences in the Western Cape High Court this week.

Correctional Services had identified five facilities where Thomas may be imprisoned.

Correctional Services Simphiwe Xako says they are under strict instruction not to divulge Thomas's whereabouts.

He says Thomas is already in the high security prison he will serve seven life sentences in.

"He is a very high profile-offender and we are under strict instruction not to divulge. We do not want any drama around his incarceration."

Correctional Services yesterday confirmed Thomas wasn't among eight convicted gangsters involved in an accident on the N2 in Port Elizabeth.

They were being transported to C-Max prison in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal.
