Scaffolding collapse injures five in Pretoria

JOHANNESBURG - Five people have been injured after a scaffolding collapsed at a construction site on Steve Biko street in Pretoria.

Paramedics say the men fell between ten to fifteen metres from the scaffolding.

The exact cause of the incident is not known.

ER24's Chitra Bodasing said, "Five people were injured when the scaffolding they were on collapsed at a construction site. The men fell about 10 to 15 metres from the scaffolding. Three patients sustained critical injuries and two sustained moderate injuries. They were treated and transported for further medical care."
