JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service said on Tuesday a cold front moving over the western part of the country will bring with it a 60 percent chance of rain and thundershowers to Gauteng.
Temperatures are also expected to remain low throughout the weekend.
The weather service has also issued a warning for snowfall, but says this will most likely affect the mountainous areas in the Eastern Cape and the Free State.
Forecaster Lulama Theme said, "At the moment it is more over the South Western part of the country and it is expected to move to Eastern Cape this afternoon. It is not in Gauteng as yet. We are expecting it to move into Gauteng tomorrow."
