JOHANNESBURG - Telkom has warned job seekers to be aware of a recruitment scam offering paid internships at the company for a booking of R90.
In the scam, applicants are promised a two month internship at Telkom's Bloemfontein branch with a salary of R4,000, free accommodation and catering.
Telkom said there's an ongoing investigation and the company is working closely with the South African Police Services (Saps).
Spokesperson Jacqui O'Sullivan said, "We are working very closely with Saps to try and track down individuals and if we do we will make sure that we make full use of the law to make sure they are prosecuted."
