Newborn found dead in plastic bag
Municipal workers in the Eastern Cape made the discovery in Butterworth on Thursday morning.
CAPE TOWN - Municipal workers on Thursday found the body of a newborn baby in a plastic bag in Butterworth.
They made the discovery earlier in the day.
Police spokesperson Jackson Manatha said, "It seems as if the baby girl was born early this morning or last night. She was found already dead."
Authorities are yet to make any arrests.
