JOHANNESBURG - Black Leopards coach Zeca Marques says he is proud of the way his side fought to book their place in the 2014/15 PSL/NFD Promotion Playoffs and says he is looking forward to fighting for a place in the PSL.

Leopards, along with Jomo Cosmos and Marques' former side Moroka Swallows will do battle for a spot in the premiership next season.

Marques says he has not done anything drastic to help Leopards turnaround their season.

"My leadership style and the way I communicate with players, what I create at training, the environment where players are relaxed, all these factors contribute and I know this because of the feedback I get from the players. They appreciate it and the conditions are there, they enjoy playing and I just lead from the front."

He says meeting the side he was in charge a few months ago will bring mixed emotions.

"A little bit of sentiment but that's football, you move on. My loyalty is to the club that I represent and that's Leopards."

Marques says his side have what it takes to beat Cosmos and Swallows and gain promotion.

"I believe deep down in my heart we have the quality and fighting spirit is there, so now we just have to put it into practice. Now the moment of truth is upon us. The easy part is behind us but I think the players are up to the challenge."
