CAPE TOWN - After a week long search of missing children in Hanover Park and Kraaifontein the body of an unidentified 4-year-old boy has been found in the area.

A member of the Kraaifontein community alerted the police after noticing a body of a child floating in the Nuutgewek farm's dam yesterday afternoon.

At least four children have gone missing in the Western Cape since last weekend.

The police's Thembinkosi Kinana says the body matches the description of the one reported missing in Wallacedene but says they cannot confirm the identity until further investigation has been done.

"At this stage the police do not want to speculate on the identity of the child including the circumstances surrounding his death."

The police's Thembinkosi Kinana said the clothes on the body matches the description of the boy that went missing in Wallacedene.

Keanu Geswindt, Sasha-Lee November, and Bukho Mlityalwa are all children who have disappeared from their homes in Ceres, Hanover Park, Athlone and Kraaifontein over the past week.

Police have urged members of the public to come forward with any information that can help police with the investigation.
