CAPE TOWN - The South African Municipal Workers' Union (Samwu) will lead a protest march in the City of Cape Town at 10am on Wednesday as part of a metro-wide strike.

Samwu called the industrial action which started on Monday over unresolved grievances.

Some of which relate to the unfair dismissal of its members.

The union's Michael Khumalo said, "If they say the strike has to proceed but if they say give them (the city) a chance, then be that as it may."
