CAPE TOWN - Hanover Park community members and police say they will search through the night for missing six-year-old Shasha-Lee November.

She was last seen playing near her home in Groenal Walk on Sunday.

Cold and wet weather has not deterred residents from continuing a search for the child.

Residents say they are shocked that the young child could have "disappeared without a trace".

Residents have searched an open field in the area and have walked the streets handing out pamphlets with details of the missing girl.

Resident Louise Finnies says they're not losing hope of finding Sasha, affectionately known as 'meisie'.

"We hope that she's fine and hope we will find her alive."

Residents say they'll continue searching until they find her.
