Cape Town rolls out MyCiTi improvement plan
On Monday, the city revealed an updated business plan for the MyCiTi Bus Services.
CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town on Tuesday said it was actively working on improving the standards of the MyCiTi Bus Services, starting with its newly released business plan.
Mayco Member for Transport Brett Herron said_, _"We will start with a structural problem that will take many years to improve through a new approach to land issues, which has a direct impact on how transport operates."
On Monday, the city revealed an updated business plan for the MyCiTi Bus Services which also showed the challenges faced in maintaining the service.
The city has so far invested R6,5 million in the bus service since it was first rolled out in 2010.
New routes and timetable have also been phased into the service.
The city said that it was working with the national government to seek funding and implementation approaches which will ensure the bus service operates in a sustainable way.
