SANDF employee among ATM bombing suspects arrested in Pretoria

Eight firearms, over 100 rounds of ammunition, balaclavas, hand gloves and a police radio were seized.

JOHANNESBURG - Police have arrested two people believed to be part of an ATM bombing gang operating in Gauteng and Limpopo.

During the overnight raid, eight firearms and over 100 rounds of ammunition were seized.

The arms cache was found at Atteridgeville house of a man believed to be an employee of the South African National Defence Force.

The police's Lungile Dlamini said, "They were discovered after a follow up investigation by crime intelligence. These suspects are believed to have committed crimes in Limpopo and Gauteng. There were also several goods that were found, including balaclavas, hand gloves as well as a police radio."
