Ruud Gullit backs Filippo Inzaghi at AC Milan
Gullit on Tuesday said everyone needed to have faith in Inzaghi.
CAPE TOWN - Former AC Milan player Ruud Gullit on Tuesday said although he would love to coach the team one day, he was fully behind Filippo Inzaghi.
The eighteen-time league winners are currently eighth on the Serie A table, an unfamiliar place having dominated Italian Football for so many years.
Whether Inzaghi, a former Rossoneri himself, will still be coach next season is yet to be seen after poor results in this campaign.
Gullit said everyone needed to have faith in Inzaghi.
"I want Inzaghi to have all the time in the world to do what he is doing and it's not easy. Don't come tomorrow with headlines that say I want to be coach of Milan, because that is not what I said."
He said there was a lot of pressure coaching a team like Milan.
"I think that Inzaghi is also a young coach, also needs to learn and of course it is not easy at a club like Milan. Milan supporters want the team to always win everything."
