JOHANNESBURG - The City of Tshwane has opened a case at the Pretoria Central Police Station after a statue of former republic President Martinus Wessel Pretorius was vandalised yesterday.

Yesterday the red berets protested at Church Square demanding the Paul Kruger statue be removed or else they will take matters into their own hands.

The city's Blessing Manale says, "It is unfortunate, because we have been having plans that we have never kept secret, about how we are trying to make the city all inclusive, so that is also just another act of criminality."
