[PICTURES] Killer whales spotted in False Bay

Two pods of killer whales were spotted in False Bay by a film crew & two scientists.

CAPE TOWN - Simon's Town Boat Company in Cape Town on Thursday captured spectacular images of playful killer whales in False Bay.

The boat company accompanied two scientists and a film crew in the hopes of gathering DNA samples from the whales.

The team eventually was able to gather samples from four different animals by tracking two pods of killer whales.

With the samples, the scents will run tests that will provide an insight into the genetic make-up of the animals.
