Northern Joburg's water issues to be resolved today
Rand Water says scheduled maintenance in northern Johannesburg will be completed today.
JOHANNESBURG - Rand Water says prolonged water cuts in Morningside, Sunninghill and surrounding areas have been caused by a faulty valve that technicians have not yet repaired.
Scheduled maintenance in northern Johannesburg was not completed yesterday and as a result water shortages continue this morning.
Acting spokesperson for Rand Water Eleanor Mavimbela says their technicians are currently working on the valve.
"Most of it was completed. They're just having one challenge with one of the valves in the area. We estimate that by lunch time water should be restored."
In January, parts of Johannesburg spent days without water due to the servicing of the Eikenhof Pumping Station.
