CAPE TOWN - Family members of a Khayelitsha woman who is thought to have been one of the victims of an alleged serial killer say they are desperate for answers.

Sinesetu Gazi's relatives were at the Goodwood Magistrates Court today where the man accused of a series of murders appeared.

The Gugulethu man is being investigated for possible links to a spate of rapes and murders across the Cape Peninsula last year.

Twenty-year-old Gazi's body was found in an open field in Kensington in December last year, two days after she went missing.

Her body was, however, only positively identified earlier this month.

The case against the 30-year-old accused has been postponed until 28 May for further investigations.

The court has heard further charges are being investigated.
