CT firefighters battle blaze in Overberg
The fire which started yesterday is burning on the slopes of a mountain near Botman River.
CAPE TOWN - Firefighters are still battling a blaze in the Overberg district in the Cape.
The fire which started yesterday is burning on the slopes of a mountain between Botman River and Karwyderskraal.
Overberg fire's Reinard Geldenhuys says part of the fire has been contained.
"There's still a big area in the mountains that's burning out of control above the farms. We've got about 60 firefighters on scene and we've got units from Overstrand municipality, Overberg municipality, Working on Fire."
At the same time firefighters in the City of Cape Town have contained a blaze near De Waal Drive.
The blaze comes a few days after fires ravaged most of the Southern Cape Peninsula.
