CAPE TOWN - The sentencing of widow Thandi Maqubela will resume in the Western Cape High Court today.

Maqubela, dubbed the "Black Widow" was found guilty of killing her husband, Judge Patrick Maqubela in 2009.

The court found her guilty of killing her husband despite not having conclusive medical evidence pinpointing the exact cause of death.

Her husband's body was discovered in a Bantry Bay apartment in the Mother City.

She was also convicted for forging her husband's will and committing fraud.

Maqubela was sent for psychiatric evaluation after her court appearance in September.

She was then admitted for observation at the Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital after she appeared confused and asked to be taken to her husband.
