JOHANNESBURG - Police have arrested 11 people including a wealthy businessman after police found steel, petrol and trucks in a factory in Leondale.

Police say they made the arrests after a tip off about a hijacked truck which was found during the raid.

The group have been linked to four other cases of stolen trucks including two from Welkom and another in Durban.

The police's Kay Makhubela says the suspects will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.

"We were following the information of a truck hijacked at a farm in Mpumalanga. When we arrived at the place where they offloaded the good, we found that there were many trucks that appeared to be hijacked."
