'Black Widow' sentencing to resume tomorrow

Former acting judge Patrick Maqubela’s widow will resume in the WC High Court tomorrow.

JOHANNESBURG - The sentencing of former acting Judge Patrick Maqubela's Widow, Thandi Maqubela will resume in the Western Cape High Court tomorrow.

In 2009, the woman dubbed "Black Widow" was found guilty of killing her husband by the same court.

His body was discovered in a Bantry Bay apartment in the Mother City.

She was also found guilty of forging her husband's will and committing fraud.

Maqubela who was sent for psychiatric evaluation after her appearance in court in September will again be in the dock at the Western Cape High Court tomorrow.

Maqubela was admitted for observation at the Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital after she appeared confused and asked to be taken to her husband.

Tomorrow, the same court her husband was based in will deliver sentencing on a number of charges including murder.
