PetroSA retrenchments off the table for now
The group’s Chief Executive Officer addressed employees at the company’s Parow branch.
CAPE TOWN - Employees at PetroSA can sleep a little easier as retrenchments are off the table for now.
On Thursday the Group Chief Executive Officer Nosizwe Nokwe-Macamo addressed employees at the company's Parow branch.
The company's Communications Manager Thabo Mabaso said the meeting was part of the company's quarterly business updates.
When Eyewitness News asked Mabaso if the proposed retrenchments were taking place in 2019 as revealed by a source, he did not deny it.
"We are not talking about retrenchments but we are talking about now is voluntary packages for people wanting to leave the company."
Mabaso said retrenchments were a last resort as the company looked for ways to cut costs.
