'Amajita's loss to Ghana not a major concern'
Coach Thabo Senong says despite the loss, his team will approach the remaining games with defiant attitude.
JOHANNESBURG - Amajita coach Thabo Senong has told EWN Sport that his boys are still confident that they can get the six points needed to see them into the semifinals of the Africa Youth Championships.
South Africa's U-20 side lost 2-0 to Ghana in their opening match of the tournament in Senegal on Monday night, forcing them to win their next two games against Mali and Zambia.
Senong says they have no intentions of walking away with a draw or loss against Mali.
"We have to approach every game with the intention to win it and irrespective of the strength or weakness of the opposition team, we're still preparing and we are well aware of the challenges lying ahead of us."
He says he will field a different line up in the next clash to try getting the desired result.
"It's a different match, with its own dynamics. Already we've a red card and there should be some few changes."
They were forced to play almost the entire second half with 10 men after Aubrey Modiba was shown the second yellow card and the red card for two reckless challenges.
