Zuma car crash: Suspect still recovering in hospital
Three of the president's children and their cousin were injured in a crash in Pietermaritzburg on Friday.
JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal police on Monday confirmed that the man suspected of causing a car crash involving President Jacob Zuma's children has not been arrested because he is still recovering in hospital.
On Friday, three of Nompumelelo Ntuli Zuma's children, along with their cousin, were involved in an accident in Pietermaritzburg.
They are currently being treated at Saint Anne's Hospital.
Officials confirmed that a case of negligent and reckless driving has been opened by the state.
The police's Thulani Zwane said, "I don't have information about the other vehicle but the vehicle that was involved in the accident, the driver was also injured and taken to hospital."
The Presidency has refused to give an update on the condition of the children.
