#CapeFire: Radiothon bags R3,1m

JOHANNESBURG - The Cape Talk and KFM Cape fire radiothon has bagged around R3,1 million.

Earlier on Wednesday, Cape Talk and KFM set up a pledge line so they could help raise money for much-needed resources and equipment in the battle against the blazes which have engulfed much of the Cape mountains.

Pledges poured in as South Africans did all they could to help extinguish the fire that has been raging for four days.

From major companies to the youngest of citizens:

9 year old Sarah has donated R200 of her pocket money to the #CapeFire relief fund. Every little bit helps.
