CAPE TOWN - Two Mitchells Plain police officers have been arrested on corruption charges after allegedly accepting a bribe from a suspect.

The pair had arrested a man after receiving a tip-off that there was tik at the house.

Its alleged the two constables then negotiated for the suspect's release in exchange for R1,000.

Police's Andre Traut says, "Lentegeur police were then alerted about a corrupt agreement between two constables aged 29 and 33, and a senior member approached the constables where he arrested them."
