E! Host Giuliana Rancic made a heartfelt apology to Zendaya Coleman after having commented on Monday night's episode of E!'s Fashion Police.

Rancic had said that Coleman's appearance at the Oscars "smells like patchouli oil and weed."

Coleman who was sporting dreadlocks took exception to the remark as it played on clich├ęs and stereotypes and posted an eloquent rebuttal on Twitter.

Moral of the story? Don't say stupid things on platforms shared far and wide.
