CAPE TOWN - Schalk Burger is set for a return to the Stormers side for their next home game against the Sharks next week.

Burger's Japanese club Suntory Sungoliath will take on Yamaha Jubilo in Saturday's All-Japan Championship final in Tokyo.

Coach Allister Coetzee is hopeful that Burger will arrive in Cape Town next Monday and join up with the team the following day.

But the fact that Burger has not had much game time in Japan, doesn't seem to bother Coetzee.

"For the last three weeks he hasn't played a lot of rugby there because of the situation in Japan, they've got other players. So he hasn't had a lot of rugby, he's fresh and ready to play. We will assess when he gets here."

Coetzee hinted that Burger may captain the side against Sharks.

"He's not here yet, so against the Lions this week Duane will lead the team still and when Schalk is here we will assess and obviously we know Duane will have to be rested, he's a category A player according to our SA Rubgy Union."
