At least 6 deaths on CT roads

CAPE TOWN - At least six people have been killed in carnage on roads in the Western Cape since the start of this weekend.

Provincial traffic officials also arrested 10 drunk drivers in just 12 hours at several roadblocks.

A further six people we arrested for possession of dagga, an unlicensed firearm and for reckless and negligent driving.

Officials set up roadblocks throughout the province between 6pm last night and 6am this morning.

Provincial traffic Chief Kenny Africa, "One driver died in a motor vehicle accident in Fish Hoek, another motorcyclist driver died in Maitland. In Emfuleni a pedestrian was killed in a car accident and also in Table View a pedestrian was knocked down by a car."
