Gavin Hunt: Title is Chiefs to lose
Hunt says the title is Chiefs’ to lose at this point given their gap leeway on the log.
JOHAANESBURG - Wits coach Gavin Hunt says Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns are still well on course to finish in first and second position, if they really want to.
Wits currently lie in second on the log, 10 points behind Chiefs and three above Sundowns, with the Brazilians having played two less games.
Hunt says the title is Chiefs' to lose at this point given their gap leeway on the log.
"All it means is a point got a little bit shorter, closer, that's all it means. I think they still well in control of their own destiny and as I said we've got to focus on our own game and what we have to do. We are just worried about ourselves as we don't want to get ahead of ourselves."
He says Sundowns pack quite a punch up front but isn't too worried about them because they too have weaknesses.
"I think it will go right to the death. For me Sundowns have got the best attacking power in the league, there is nobody better than them in terms of attacking play. But I always think there is a chance to score against them and I think we will worry about that game when we get there."
