CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape is facing a massive increase in ATM bombings.

This includes the recent spate of in-store ATM robberies in Cape Town over the past two weeks.

The South African Banking Risk Information Centre's Kalyani Pillay said they were confident about putting a stop to the incidents.

"In the Western Cape we've had four ATM bombings in 2014 and in 2015, in the first six and a half weeks of the year, we've already seen five."
